Even if it is true that you can only use one or the other "feature" of a headset, it is very inconvenient to unplug the headphone jack to use the mic. But "This cable can be used if you would like to only use 1 or the other mic or earphone features of the headset." for those who don't read the fine print when purchasing. Looking at the other reviews seem to imply that both the mic and headphone audio will work with this. How pointless is this product to function like this. I have spent around a month and a half trying to figure this out since I got this.Įven though I bought this with the purpose of being able to listen to audio as well as use the mic at the same time, I cannot use the mic without physically unplugging the headphone jack, only then will it let clear audio through the mic. The whole purpose of this was to get the mic working on my desktop PC. The headphone audio works fine, but that works anyway if you just plug into the headphone jack. Looking up issues online seem to say that these adapters (not specifically this one) supposedly don't work with certain headsets. Maybe I got a bad cable but I don't know. Small amount of sound even comes through the headset from the mic when the mic is not supposed to be activated. I have spent around a month and a half trying to figure this out since I got this.
